Shamanism, in its purest form, is an organized set of rituals designed to enable the practitioner to manage matter at the quantum level. There is a shamanic/magical aspect to everything, as shamanism accesses the unifying force behind creation.

We are in transitional times where we are no longer what we have been, but have not yet evolved into what we will become. This is a time of great upheaval as the status quo disintegrates to make way for a new structure. Polarization and compartmentalization is the matrix beneath our failing realities. We are leaving a time of polarization and entering one of unity. In order to aid this process, we must embrace unity as individuals, as a culture and as a world.

While shamanism is one of the many practices explored on MISSION: EVOLUTION, the program was not necessarily created to be about shamanism. Rather it uses shamanic principles and the underlying ability to access the quantum level in order to find common ground between seemingly divergent practices, beliefs and realities. We are living in divergent realities while being challenged to evolve into unity.

Science is dedicated to the pursuit of fact, while magic accesses the quantum level in search of truth. Heretofore, these two practices have been compartmentalized and polarized against each other. Only in merging the two and finding common ground can evolving truth be attained.

MISSION: EVOLUTION pulls together people on the leading edge of their fields to bridge the gap between science and magic, between polarized reality and the quantum level. Thoughtful and provocative exploration, each episode is a sharing of concepts and ideas, allowing an evolution of consciousness.

In order for us to evolve, perceived truth must evolve also.

Meet Gwilda Wiyaka - The Host of The Science of Magic Radio Show

Gwilda Wiyaka, author of So, We're Still Here. Now What? Spiritual Evolution and Personal Empowerment in a New Era, is considered by many to be today's foremost expert on the modern day application of ancient shamanic principles. She is the founder and director of the Path Home Shamanic Arts School, a Colorado state-certified occupational school of the shamanic arts. Gwilda is also a preceptor for the University of Colorado School of Medicine, where she provides instruction to medical doctors on the modern interface between shamanism and allopathic medicine for the University's School of Medicine's Complementary and Alternative Medicine course.

Born in the United States, Gwilda grew up overseas, becoming familiar with many cultures. She attended grade school in Saudi Arabia, and obtained most of her higher education in Switzerland. She holds a B.S. in Psychology and Religious Studies, and later became a Certified Massage Therapist in the United States at the Boulder College of Massage Therapy.

Her background of living in different societies around the world, coupled with her curiosity and fascination with the workings of life, prompted her immersion into shamanism. She has studied shamanism for almost forty years, has been a practitioner for thirty years, and a teacher of the shamanic arts since 1996. Gwilda has studied with American Indian healers from the Seneca, Lakota, Navajo, Arapaho, and Choctaw traditions and also received training in Tibetan, Core, and Celtic Shamanism. Early in her private practice she began interfacing with psychotherapists, psychiatrists, chiropractors, and medical doctors, from whom she still receives many of her referrals. Her medical intuitive skills have been corroborated by MRIs and CT scans, validating consistent accuracy.

While shamanism is an ancient nature-based healing modality, Gwilda has demonstrated its modern day effectiveness, establishing it as a healing modality in its own right that promotes the personal power and spiritual evolution of the individual. Her shamanic and counseling skills blend with her knowledge of the human body to create a shamanic healing modality that is not only unique, but extremely effective.

The main focus of Gwilda's private practice is to reconnect her clients with their natural expression and personal power through the use of shamanic healing techniques. She offers one-on-one sessions in her Colorado office and long-distance shamanic healing sessions with her national and international clientele via telephone and Internet.

An experienced inspirational speaker and singer/songwriter, Gwilda conducts workshops and seminars throughout the world. She created the Path Home Shamanic Arts School's curriculum, has been published in the Whole Health Institute's professional journal and the Healing Path Magazine. She has written numerous articles and workbooks, such as In Touch With Spirit: The Shamanic Journey, and Sanctuary: The Shamanic Art of Sacred Space, Workbook 2, Vol. 2. She has created numerous instructional and musical CD's to help her students deepen their study and understanding of shamanism.
